Have been kindly contacted by Mike Stewart, who has a wealth of knowledge about Susan Isabel Dacre (Annie’s lifelong friend) and her artistic career. More on this in due course – personal matters mean I can only spend a limited amounts of time working on the net at the moment.
Mike has sent a photo of Isabel, something I’d been hoping to find for some time, so am delighted to see. There are a number of portraits by Francis Dodd, as well as Annie’s, but at last a photo.
Thank you, Mike, I look forward to incorporating your communications in the coming weeks.

Hello This photo was sent to me by Peter DavisMAFA archivist peterdavisartist@sky.comStating The man in the centre of the photograph is Clarence Whaite, the MAFA president at the time. I also think Mary McNicoll Wroe is in the photo, along with most of MAFA’s women members at the time. We had 9 full members and 11 associate members that were women. I have included the membership list from 1909 for you to look at.
Do you think Susan is on the far right?

Hi Dawn. I just saw your message, but no photo attached – I don’t think WordPress ‘comments’ allow attachments. Can you send it to swynnerton.blog@gmail.com.
