The owner of Portrait of a child wearing a sash has kindly provided further images and details, but it has to remain an ‘attributed’ work with no identifiable signature or sound provenance.

The general style looks late 1800s. How one would love to know something of the subject and their history.
Had a go at running the images through a photograph restoration site (imgupscaler.ai) plus some other tweaks, giving the result below, although I haven’t reproduced this on the ‘official’ page as while giving a fair idea of the original it will be misleading in detail, contrast and colour.

Many thank again to the owner.

Nice resto job, but I really don’t think it’s one of Annie’s, it just looks wrong for her.
