SIX IMAGES FROM THE 1923 EXHIBITION / CATALOGUE RAISONNÉ.

Surprised I haven’t got round to doing this before, but there are six images of otherwise unknown works in photographs of the 1923 exhibition at Manchester Art Gallery, Paintings by Mrs. Swynnerton, A.R.A.

They are:

They’ve had their perspective computer rectified and processed to give as much clarity as possible. Miss Craies and The Rock Pool, Capri are particularly poor quality, but these images should help recognise the works should they reappear at auction or in private collections.

I had assumed Miss Craies was the already known Portrait of Agathonike Sabina Craies, but it now appears to be something different, a woman in profile?

Have begun work on a Catalogue Raisonné for Annie, a list of all her recorded works, including those known by title only, fully referenced (but never breaking confidentiality about works in private collections). It’s a surprisingly long-winded process which I suspect will take many months, but look forward to presenting the Catalogue when it achieves some form of stability.
