In Elsie M. Lang‘s book British Women in the Twentieth Century (London: T. Werner Laurie Ltd.), published in 1929, there is a photo of Annie. Hard to estimate her age – forties? – just not the 85-years she would have been when the book was published. Couldn’t resist adding some colour and I think it gives a fair result.
