The subject is Isabel Dacre’s mother, Susan Wyatt/Dacre/Race. She was born about 1816 at Clifton, Somerset, England, the daughter of John Wyatt, ‘a Gentleman’. With William Dacre she had five children including Susan, the artist. No record has been found as to the birth or death of this William Dacre, a traveller. Susan (senior) died 1898, Manchester, of “senile decay” [1].
