Typical Venetian blocks of flats are seen in rich colours, the right-hand building is painted in brown, red and yellow, the building on the left is depicted in cream and dark red/brown. The water is in direct sunlight represented by a white central patch, the colours of the water elsewhere are dark green and brown, representative of the reflections from the buildings and trees behind.
