Article by Elizabeth Crawford – includes five ‘new’ portraits and news that Annie’s portrait of Millicent Garrett has been acquired by the Palace of Westminster.

A fascinating article has been written by Elizabeth Crawford on her Woman and her Sphere web site, giving new biographical information on Annie and includes five portraits previously unknown to myself.

At Elizabeth’s suggestion, the Palace of Westminster has acquired Annie’s Portrait of Millicent Garrett Fawcett that recently had passed through the hands of Richard Taylor Fine Art. If I understand things correctly, Westminster is part of the Royal Estate and the work is therefore now part of the Royal collection.

Elizabeth also suggests from her research that the Portrait of a lady standing by floweriing ivy is Agnes Garrett and dates to 1885.

I look forward to working all this information into the web site.

Thank you, Elizabeth.
