I’D NOTICED BEFORE that two versions of The Sense of Sight appear on the web, the Liverpool Art Gallery work and another that appears under the same title or other names, such as The Gift of Sight or The Angel of the Annunciation. I’d assumed the latter was a copy, but it is, I now realise, a genuine ‘Annie’, a work auctioned by Christie’s, 2 Nov 1989, under the title The Angel of the Annunciation.

Comparing the two, the major differences are the colour of the cloth, shoulder-line and upper arm modelling and the waistline decoration.
PAGES AND DETAILS have now been added for the newly discovered images, A Thirsty Child, Blossom Time, The Little Sentinel and On a Terrace.
