On studying the auction web sites closer, now find The Bluebell Wood to be an unevidenced ‘Annie,’ and a picture offered for auction in 2008 with this title and of similar size is described as ‘style of Annie Swynnerton.’

An attractive work – a shame that no clearer web image can be found – it is certainly within Annie’s range of subject interests, but I’m not sure there are enough landscapes of Annie’s in existence to be able to closely identify her ‘style.’ The kaleidoscopic effect of the paint application is characteristic of her, but in reality this could be by any of a large number of artists.
