Don’t know whether it was the inquiry which prompted the gallery to consider it, but a few weeks after emailing the Musée d’Orsay about seeing Annie’s Mater Triumphalis in storage, had an email from them to say the painting is now on display in room 59 of the gallery.

If anyone is able to visit it would be great to get some good quality images. I’m particularly curious about the contents of the dish at the figures feet. [Note, August 2022: I now know the dish to be filled with small shells.]
