In an article on Annie’s admission to the Royal Academy. The Sphere newspaper (9 December 1922) printed a photograph of a corner of her studio in which is visible her portrait of Count Zubov (painted over a decade earlier and now in the Tate) and an otherwise unknown equestrian painting.
The image has been computer-rectified below, but detail is still difficult to make out.
- Media: oil on canvas (assumed).
- Dimensions: very approximately 1.5 x 1.5 m (2.3 m²).
- History: visible in photograph in The Sphere (newspaper), 9 Dec 1922, otherwise unknown.
- Location: unknown.
There is some similarity between this and Annie’s oil sketch of a pony.
